Disability and mental health support
The Student Support Manager co-ordinates support arrangements and resources to assist students with disabilities to benefit fully from their time at Coventry University London Campus.
We provide our students with long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, physical or sensory impairments and specific learning differences such as Dyslexia, with support, advice and reasonable adjustments.

Funding for SpLD Assessment
Can a student be referred for a Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) support with a Specialist teacher through the University?
We have a Specialist Study Skills Tutor for students with an SpLD. Students may apply to the hardship fund for Dyslexia Assessment.
Disability Adviser available
Are there specialist staff available to talk to within the service? Is there a disability officer or a disability adviser for students to talk to?
The Student Support team has a disability advisor and a specialist tutor. Both are available for 1.2.1 appointments as well as answering queries by email, or phone.
Support from academic staff
Is advice and support available from academic staff within the faculties of the University? How do students access this advice and support?
All academic and professional staff work closely with the Student Support Team to facilitate guidance, advice and support. Students can contact their academic staff directly, or book an appointment with the Student Support Manager to discuss advice and support.
One-to-one mentoring support
Are there any additional services available such as mentoring, counselling services or a buddy scheme to help a new student to settle in if needed?
Coventry University London Campus can provide counselling and one to one mentoring support, again this is co-ordinated by the Student Support Manager.
Specialist Support groups
Are there specialist support groups or a disabled students network available at the University?
We have very strong student support networks throughout Coventry University London Campus and facilitate setting up new societies.
Adapted accommodation in halls
Is adapted accommodation and specialist equipment available in halls of residence?
Whilst CULC do not have their own halls of residence, we have a strong working relationship with local providers, and the University of London Housing Services, and would be willing to discuss and facilitate specific requirements.
One-to-One / Group Study Skills
Does the institution provide support with arranging One to one/Group study skills sessions?
We can provide support with arranging One to One and Group study skills sessions. All students can also access our Spotlight workshops, a series of hourly, interactive classroom sessions, covering areas such as Skills for Effective Study, and Skills for Writing at University.
